Session Seven: Southern Sounds

We’re currently situated in the South, which comes with some particular cultural connections to Appalachian instrumentation, folk music, country (and however you want to describe “new country”), as well as jazz, rap, and hip hop. As André3000 put it, “the South’s got something to say.” What does the South say to or through you? Consider sharing a song that epitomizes the South to you. Maybe something that you love about this region, or want to change, or how it feels for you in particular to live here. You could even pick a song that covers both things you love and hate about the South.
